The Royal College Computer Society makes its marks at the National School’s Software Competition!


Adding to the great success that the Computer Society of Royal College has been achieving in the year thus far, it is but another feather in their cap, to have displayed great skill, and to have secured 3 out of 6 places at the National School’s Software Competition organized by the Computer Society of Sri Lanka, which concluded on the 21st of September, 2014.

The talented members of the Royal College Computer Society who have been nothing less than impressive in the year 2014, with a vast amount of notable achievements, managed to bring glory to College through their inspired members, Roshnal Lihinikadu, Sadeep Weerasinghe & Thisura Dodangoda. These members were placed in the National Schools Software Competition as follows.

1st place – under 19 – Roshnal Lihinikadu
3rd place – under 19 – Sadeep Weerasinghe
3rd place – under 17 – Thisura Dodangoda

Owing to the achieved results, these members successfully secured 3 out of 6 places in the competition, much to the delight of the Computer Society officials. Furthermore, in addition to the achieved results, Sadeep Weerasinghe & Thisura Dodangoda have been selected to represent the Sri Lankan Contingent at the International School’s Software Competition organized by the South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation which will be held in Chennai, India during the month of October 2014.

The achievements and activities of the Royal College Computer Society in the year 2014, is a clear indicator of the improved level of ICT within College, and the achieved level will undoubtedly be sustained and improved further in the months and years to come.
