The Royal-Thomian Scrabble Encounter is one of the common rivalries between the 2 schools and the only Annual Scrabble Encounter held between two schools in the country. It was started in 2012 by the Scrabble Clubs of both institutions, with the intention of popularizing the game of scrabble and to keep the traditional camaraderie between the two hallowed institutions. The inaugural event was hosted by Royal College with both schools to host it alternatively in the years to come.
