The Prize Tests for 2013/2014 will commence on the 07th May, 2016. Students who wish to sit for the Prize Tests are requested to be present at the Prize Room (in the Grade 10 Block) 15 minutes before the scheduled time with their S. R. B. (Those who have left school must bring their National Identity Card.

In order to obtain the ‘Jayathilake Memorial Prize for Sinhala’ students should participate in the three tests mentioned below.

  • Sinhala Essay.
  • Creative Composition – Sinhala.
  • Selected Authors.

In order to obtain the ‘Steward Prize’ students should participate in the three tests mentioned below.

  • English Essay.
  • Shakespeare
  • Creative Composition – English.

A prize will not be awarded to a student who has won it once.

LALITH ATHULATHMUDALI AWARD FOR THE MOST OUTSTANDING ROYALIST OF THE YEAR 2013/2014

Students who faced the G. C. E. Advanced Level Examination for the first time in 2013/2014 as well as repeaters are eligible to apply for this. Credit will be given for achievements under the following:

  1. Academic performance
  2. Achievements in sports
  3. Involvement in social welfare work.
  4. Leadership
  5. Debating skills.
  6. Other extra-curricular activities and achievements (E.g. Music, Art, Innovations etc.)

Applications should be made stating particulars accordingly. Please apply on or before the 15th May, 2016. Applications can be handed over to the Deputy Principal’s Office (Grade 10 Block).
