Vesak 2013
This is a large scale project which is divided into many sub projects. Sub projects are listed below.

5. Vesak Bakthi Geetha Program in Vesak Kalapaya.

Annual Sil Program
Objectives
The objective of the project is to commemorate the “Sri Sambuddha Varsha 2557 Vesak Pura Pasaloswaka Poya” and to inculcate the Buddhist philosophy in the minds of the school children.

Overview
Annual Sil program got underway on the 23rd of May at 7.30am by observing “Ata Sil” and the morning “Buddha Poojawa” according to the grades.

Decorate the School with 100 Lanterns
Objectives
Commemorate “Sri Samuddha Varha 2557 Vesak Pura Pasaloswaka Poya”

Overview
100 Vesak Lanterns with lights were displayed in the school premises. All the students were made aware how to contribute for this event and accordingly they provided the society with wire, bulbs and polythene.

Distribution of Vesak Cards
Objectives
To improve the knowledge of Buddhist Literature among the students and to give an opportunity to the students to show their talents by contributing to this project.

Overview
5000 vesak cards were printed using 10 best pictures and 5 best poems which were submitted by the students within two weeks. The vesak cards were distributed among school students for a sum of LKR. 20 each.

Display an eye catching Swan Vesak Lantern
Objectives
Celebrate Sri Sambuddha Varsha 2557 Lantern in Buddha Rashmi Kalapaya

Overview
By the support of all senior committee members, the buddhist brotherhood made the largest swan lantern which was related to the “Swarna Hansa Jathakaya” at the buddha rashmi vesak Kalapaya. The lantern was highly appreciated by the Education Minister Mr. Bandula Gunawardena, Mr. Namal Rajapaksha and Principal Mr. Upali Gunasekara. The talent and sacrifice put to each second was glorified when the lantern was specially telecasted in ITN.

Vesak Bakthi Gee Program
Objectives
Celebrate “Sri Sambuddha Varsha 2557” vesak pura pasaloswaka poya in a grand way and to improve school students singing ability.

Overview
It was a joined project with the Oriental Music Society. The Buddhist Brotherhood sent the Bakthi Gee team to Gangarama buddha rashmi vesak kalapaya for the Bakthi Gee program that was held in May 2013.

Muruthange Poojawa 2013
Objectives
Get involved in the morning “Buddha Poojawa” of the temple of the tooth and to participate in the “Thewawa Poojawa” in the evening and attaining blessings for College.

Overview
The Dalada Poojawa is one of the most prestigious events in Sri Lanka. Only very few get the chance of taking part in this. The Royal College Buddhist Brotherhood has been blessed enough to get such an opportunity.

Morning Buddha Pooja Program
Objectives
To offer the lord Buddha with the morning buddha pooja and to make the students learn some buddhist rituals.

Overview
This is another prominent event that the Buddhist Brotherhood is working on, which happens daily. The society has appointed a specific class in presenting the morning buddha pooja and the society keeps track and updates.
