As one of the leading school based ICT societies in Sri Lanka, Royal College Computer Society has once again brought fame and honor to the school by securing first place in the preliminary quiz competition and also first place in the highly esteemed mini hackathon and finally the overall runner- up trophy at Pulz 2015 the annual IT day of Ananda College which was held on the 15th of June at the Galadari Hotel.

The preliminary quiz was held between 50 schools from all over Sri Lanka and only the top ten finalists were chosen for the next round which was the mini hackathon. Royal College Computer Society was able to win the first place of the quiz competition with ease by scoring 24 out of the 30 questions posed against them in the written examination and thereby becoming eligible for the mini hackathon. The mini hackathon comprised of developing a system for a given problem within three hours and finally presenting that solution to the panel of judges within five minutes. Even with technical difficulties Royal College Computer Society was able to achieve first place in the hackathon through their sheer will power.

Finally the Royal College Computer Society was awarded overall second place in the final prize giving thereby securing two trophies which were the overall second place trophy and the trophy for the mini hackathon and also the team members were awarded with scholarships worth 1.5 million courtesy of Informatics Institute of Technology.
