Clubs and Societies Felicitation Ceremony

The inaugural clubs and societies felicitation ceremony was first organized by the Prefects’ Council of Royal College 2009/2010 and was held at the Navarangahala on the 26th of November. The purpose of the ceremony was to give due recognition to the Clubs and Societies that have molded countless young royalists.

The Clubs & Societies are given a Grade of ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ based on an evaluation of their performances in the year in consideration by the Prefects’ Council. The purpose of having a differentiated grading system is to motivate Clubs & Societies to maintain standards and keep pushing themselves to greater heights. But the event’s main focus is not to create an atmosphere for competition, but rather to appreciate all the hard work that would have gone in to each and every organization to build a successful year. The event has grown from strength to strength and looks to become a key moment in the Clubs & Societies arena.

This event was held for the second time on the 15th of November 2011 and for the third time on the 30th of November 2012. This prestigious event also continued with utmost success for the fourth year, on the 6th of December 2013 at Navarangahala.
