History and Background

The United Nations Club of Royal College which was started in 1979 was one of the major clubs of Royal College From the start. After the clubs inception in 1979 the club started many projects and one of the main projects of the Club was the 1985 “Rajasisugama” housing project in Haldolla, Rathnapura commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Royal College which consisted 15 houses and all the necessities for the villagers (1 house for each 10 year span of college). Later in the year 1992 the club finished its second housing project in Agalawatta.

Over the years the club has done many useful and major projects such as the peace walk in 1996 and Public health camps etc.
