Royal College as an institution, concentrates in Green Education and promoting environmental friendly mentality within the students, while working for the larger and more desired goal of sustainable development and energy conservation. As one of the measures for sustainability, the Rain Water Harvesting project was initiated within School premises by the Royal College Union and the Interact Club of Royal College.

There are four main Rain Water Harvesting Tanks around Royal College. Two situated in the hostel agriculture Gardens and the other two next to Main Agriculture Garden. These Rainwater Harvesting Tanks, harvest rain water and provide it to the Agriculture Garden plants. This project has proven to be of great value and contribute vastly towards the conservation and finite resources, thereby assisting to achieve the goal of ultimate sustainability. This project is one of the major sustainability projects currently operating in College, along with the Bio Gas Plant.
