Squash was first played as a sport at Royal in 1997. Since then the school has set high standards in the schools squash circuit due the quality of players Royal has produced. To date, Royal College has won the most amount of Inter-schools trophies (overall and team events) in the schools squash arena. The school has not only produced brilliant squash players in the schools arena but also has produced players who have gone on to represent the country internationally.
A major reason for the success of Royal College squash are the infrastructure facilities provided by the class of 72 by building two fully equipped squash courts in 2002 at the college sports complex. This move has been the stepping stone for all the players who have gone on to make the school and country proud.
Adding to this success is the dedication and keenness shown by the coaches, teachers and the players in order to make the school a mighty rival in the sport.
