Ace programmers of the Royal College Computer Society Roshnal Lihinikadu and Sadeep Darshana secured 1st place in the U-19 and U-17 age groups respectively at the National Schools Software Competition organized by the Computer Society of Sri Lanka. This competition was successfully concluded on the 20th of July, Saturday at the University of Colombo School of Computing.

They are due to represent the Sri Lankan Contingent at the International Schools Software Competition of the South East Asian Regional Computer Confederation of which Colombo will be the Host City for 2013. This would provide them with the opportunity to qualify for the International Olympiad on Informatics (IOI) 2014 to be held in Taipei, Taiwan.

Other members who represented Royal College at the NSSC were Adithya Sudharaka, Chamath Palihawadana and Sanila Vindula.
