The Royal College Rowing Crew make their mark once again at the Ranfer Sprints, held for the 24th time which was hosted by Colombo Rowing Club. Royal were unable to claim the main title, but put on a great overall display.

The Ranfer Sprints is a unique event that shortens the races and makes it an exciting team relay of 300m opposed to the traditional 1000m race. The idea behind this concept is to allow spectators to witness the race from beginning to end and also to make the races much more exciting and intense.

This year’s event featured the talents of Royal College, S. Thomas’ College, Ananda College, Ladies College, Musaeus College, Bishop’s College, University of Colombo, Gateway International School and Asian International School. In addition, the Sri Lanka forces such as the Army, Navy and Air force squads also participated in their respective teams.
