Since its inception, the event has steadily grown each year and has seen notable improvements.

The 21st edition of ‘Miyesi Meerawaya’ took place on the 2nd of June at the Navarangahala. The eminent composer and singer, Edward Jayakody, graced the occassion as the featured artist. The days programme consisted of a number of classical and modern hits which kept audience members of all ages entertained. In addition to the talented boarders of Royal, students from Anula Vidyalaya and Sirimawo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya added colour to the event with guest performances.
