The Royal College Unit of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society held their annual Blood Donation campaign on the 24th of February 2016 at the college Main hall. This meritorious project which attracted a crowd of more than 250 blood donors was one of the most successful blood donation campaigns organized by the Red Cross Society of Royal College given the fact that it was the highest number of blood pints collected by any school in Sri Lanka.

The Society was recognized and commended for their diligence and hard work by the Blood Transfusion Service of Sri Lanka at the commemoration ceremony of the World Blood Donor Day 2016 held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall on the 14th of June.
