History and Background

The society has been established on 1st of July 1909. And it is celebrating its 103rd anniversary in 2012.From 1990 to 1999 the society had published an annual magazine called “Diwasa”.

From 2000, the annual magazine’s name changed as “SCi-CLONE”, and it was a remarkable achievement which scored by RCSA in the new millennium.

“SCi-ZONE”, the only school science museum, was established in Sri Lanka by RCSA. As the most phenomenal event which implemented by RCSA, “SCi-EVE” was a success in 1960 for the first time, and it was consecutive up to 2011.

We are also happy to mention RCSA was the first school science society which concerned about the outstation schools and the society acted a main role for the development of knowledge in science.

To Serve our Alma matter; ROYAL COLLEGE by implementing different types of projects which are related to the stream of SCIENCE and to lead the SRI LANKAN society to grace a better future.

Mission

To be the best in-house community which serve to our own alma mater and to be the best Science Association out of all Students’ Science Associations in Sri Lanka.
