History and Background

The Sinhala Language and Literary Unit of Royal College has been actively involved in a processwhich consists of educational , social , financial and other project executions for the improvement ofRoyalists and Royal College for century since 1934.

In the present the Unit is looking forward to take part in the particular process which created expertsin various fields such as Professor Samantha Herath , Dr. Prathibha Mahanamahewa , Dr.Prashantha Perera ,Sri Lankan High Commissioner of India Mr. Asala Weerakoon Media Secretaryof Prime-Minister Mr. Saman Athawudahetti and etc.


Vision and Mission

Our vision is to create a Royalist enriched in humanity and a perception of Sinhala Language and Literature.

Our mission is to develop the knowledge of Sinhala language and literature of students qualitatively for the improvement of Sinhala language and literature by recognizing the timely needs of Royal College and construct an environment which escalates the keenness of students in literature, eventually execute to achieve the above vision.
