Royal College managed to put on a brilliant first innings performance on the field, restricting S. Thomas’ to just 192 runs. The stars of the first innings were Chamika Karunaratne for Royal with his 5 wicket haul and Devin Jayasinghe for S. Thomas’ with his knock of 74. Royal would have ended the day in a very dominating position if not for the heavy showers that disrupted Royal’s first innings after just one over. Play is scheduled to commence at 9.45 am tomorrow.
