The Royal – Trinity Rugbby Encounter for the Bradby Shield has been the most anticipated event in the School’s Rugby Calendar for many years, and that doesn’t look to change any time soon. The Boys in Blue & Gold will head to Pallekele on the 1st of June to face the Trinitians with only one thing in mind; victory. Form and stats have nothing to do with the Bradby, as passion and glory take over the hearts of both teams, thus resulting in a thrilling Rugby Encounter in each year.

Captain Rimze Jamaldeen who was a member of the team that last won the Bradby Shield for Royal back in 2010, has shown the thirst for victory from the very beginning of the season and has lead the team from the front from the word go. Senior players Shuayb Muthalip (Vice Captain), Shuaib Jabbar, Azman Khan, Nevaan Perera, Devin De Silva, Ashan Bandara and Kaveen Perera who are in their final year will be playing the most important game of their lives and will be bringing a 110% to the field. Both teams will be competing fiercely and the game promises to be one to be remembered.
