Royal’s Under 17 Hockey team put on an exceptional display of dominance at the recently concluded All Island Under 17 Hockey Tournament which was held at the Matale Astro Turf. Sunday’s match against Christ Church College saw the team being crowned champions after a period of two years. The team cruised through the initial rounds, having a tight game only against Zahira College,Matale in the Semi Finals. In addition to the win, Shahir Bari received the award for Player of the Tournament, all of which are good signs for the future of Royal College Hockey.
