The Buddhist Brotherhood of Royal College proudly presents you the phenomenal and successful completion of “Sankalpana ’22”, the largest of its competitions based on Buddhism and its valuable concepts, with the enthusiastic participation of over 90 schools island-wide.

As usual, it was organized for the fifth time and a huge platform was built for young children to showcase their abilities. The competition was held on both Inner and Inter-school levels for students of grades 4 to grade 13, with competition categories ranging from Digital Arts, Essay writing, Poetry composition, Oratary & Recitation to Photography.

After following the strenuous yet rewarding task of assessing over 1000 submissions received, the felicitation ceremony was held with over 125 award winners, on the 28th of October 2022 from 3.00 pm onwards, at the College Main Hall, graced by the honourable presence of His excellency, Mr Daniel Bood, Acting High Commissioner of Canada, Chinese counsellor Wang Hongshan, Third secretary to the counsellor Ye Zi, and Mr Thushera Kawdawatta, CEO of Axiata Digital Labs, along with the presence of over 300 participants. There, the winners of various schools across the island were evaluated and among all the participating schools, the Sripali Maha Vidyalaya was awarded the Sankalpana shield, which is awarded to the outstanding best school that shows the most achievements and the best skills.
