The Media Unit’s current batch year began in January of 2021. We, as the Media Unit of Royal College plan to carry out many projects and serve our alma-mater in all her media-oriented needs. We wish to complete this objective through our main avenues; The Royal News Team, Le Postre Team, MURC Creatives & The Video Crew.
Due to the advent of the COVID 19 Pandemic, we plan to carry out the bulk of our projects online. For the entire duration of our club year, a packed timetable awaits. Starting off with the deployment of the MURC.edu Educational Platform, members will face the highs and lows of the 1st XI Cricket Season Live Season and the Live Coverage of the 142nd Battle of The Blues, eventually capping off with the Live Coverage of the Royal Thomian Season
All the while, year-long projects, in the form of the Morning News Broadcast, Event Media Coverage, Services & Management and The Countdown Project will be implemented in the spirit of servitude to our college. However, this does not detract from the plethora of creatively imbued projects we plan to hold, such as Le Speaker, Visual Artist, Student Development Sessions, The Royal Herald E-Newspaper (which is yet another new addition to the club calendar), FM Royal, and of course, the crown jewel of our labors, TV Royal.
This list of herculean tasks will put club members through many trials and tribulations, but the feeling of accomplishment one gains through that challenging effort is the unique trait of all of our projects.
All in all, these projects and more add up to 16 planned projects in total, which will be done in the vein of furthering our vision and mission while still upholding the values and good name of our esteemed college.
