Having already beaten the current World Champion of carrom Nishantha Fernando, Mohomad Shaheed went on to become the youngest player to enter the finals of a senior national carrom championship.

Mohomad Shaheed went on to lose the final of the 46th National Carrom Championship to the 9 times national champion Chamil Cooray by a scoreline of 25-07, 07-25 and 0-25. However, Mohomad Shaheed can keep his head held high as a proud product of his alma mater by defeating senior carrom players in an open tournament and thus bringing glory to his school.
