The all island under 18 rugby tournament concluded on the 9th of february 2014 at the Royal College Sports Complex. The under 18 rugby team of Royal College put in a satisfactory performance as they emerged as the runner-up team in the tournament after losing to St. Peters’s College 14-5. The matches played by the team are stated below.

Royal College comprehensively defeated C.W.W. Kannangara Vidyalaya 10-0 in the opening stages and then received a walkover in the knock out stages before meeting Isipathana College in the semi-final. The team then booked a place in the final after beating Isipathana College 10-7. However, the team narrowly missed out on winning the all island under 18 rugby 7’s tournament after losing to St. Peter’s College in the final after a hard fought game.

Nevertheless, the future looks bright for Royal College Rugby. We wish the team good luck for their future endeavors!
