At the point of declaration, Royal was given a target of 179 to win, due to the initial lead of 67 runs, and the 2nd innings total of 111 which was put up by S. Thomas’ College.

As the encounter resulted in a draw, Sachintha De Silva was the star performer for Royal by grabbing 8 wickets in total, and all of them at crucial stages of the respective innings’.
