The Annual Inter House Table Tennis Tournament has been the highlight of the Table Tennis agenda of Royal College for many years. The competitive spirit, teamwork and the very platform for young Royalists to be future champions are laid at this prestigious event. Students from Grades 2 to 13 participated in this event and it was also attended by parents, well wishers, leaders of the corporate sector and members of the school administration.

The day’s proceedings began with the hoisting of flags by the Principal, Captain and House Captains, followed by the lighting of the traditional oil lamp. The matches were commenced thereafter. The results are as follows:

The awards ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest Mr. Buddhika Obeysekara, who was the Table Tennis Captain of 1983, the Principal, Senior Games Master, members of the academic staff, past captains and various other dignitaries.

Reed House emerged as the overall champions with a marginal 15 point lead over Harward House.
