Encounters
Many schools in the Western Province contest to qualify for the National School Games. The Western Province qualifiers are in July, and only 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will qualify. This tournament is at the Sapugaskanda Games Stadium.
National School Games of Karate commences in late September and are between the qualifiers of each Province. This is the toughest contest for the Royal College Karate players, and we’ve overcome it since 2018.
Sri Lanka Schools’ Karate Championship is also a huge opportunity to represent our school. Only the best schools will lead to the finals, which happen in late November at the Sugathadasa indoor stadium.
