Rifle shooting  was initiated at the Royal College in 1945. Out of the many disciplines in shooting the College Shooting program focuses on training young Royalists for the 10m Air rifle/Pistol an Olympic event, and has produced many world class shooters such as Mr. Ravi Wijewardene, Mr. Kummar Chitty, Mr. Zal Chittiy and Mr. Rohana Nanayakkara.
