Since its inception at the College in 1994, the Royal College has been at the forefront of the School Scrabble arena, dominating the individual and team tournaments year on end. Royal College Scrabble also proudly boasts having produced the 1st ever Sri Lankan World Youth Scrabble Champion Aabid Ismail in 2017.

The Royal College also has had the liberty of producing many prominent names in the senior Scrabble arena in Sri Lanka who have gone on to bring glory to their country and their alma mater at various championships around the world including the World Championships.
